Walter Cronkite Dies At Age 92

Walter Cronkite has passed away.

The legendary newsman passed away Friday at the age of 92.  The cause of death is unknown at this time; however, Cronkite’s family released a statement last month revealing he was suffering from cerebrovascular disease.

Cronkite was a news anchor on CBS from 1962 to 1981.  He delivered news regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963, and he also announced the first moon landing in 1969.  Walter Cronkite was famous for ending his broadcast with his famous signature line: “And that’s the way it is.”

Cronkite is a true icon.  He is survived by his three children and his many grandchildren.

R.I.P. Walter Cronkite.
