It’s too cold in Jersey for swimsuits, so Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino traveled to the warmer beaches of Tampa, Florida, to host a bikini contest last night. The “Jersey Shore” stud seemed to be enjoying himself, eyeing the lovely ladies who strutted their hot bods at The Venue nightclub’s Spring Break Tropical Bikini Contest. The winner took home $1,000 in cash and prizes—wonder which chick took Mike home?
The “Twilight” franchise has made its young stars famous, but do any of have what it takes to open a film solo? Robert Pattinson’s first post-“Twilight” effort hit theaters this weekend to a less-than-spectacular reception. “Remember Me,” which co-stars “Lost” beauty Emile de Raven, brought in a tepid $8.3 million in its first weekend.
This does not bode well for the other “Twilight” stars with films coming out soon. Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning have their teen rock band biopic “The Runaways” making its debut on Friday. If the Twi-hards failed to come out for R-Patz, will they be interested in Kristen without him? And what about Taylor Lautner? He’s been signed to several upcoming high-budget films—does he have the appeal to make them hits? Only time (and future box office totals) will tell whether the kids from “Twilight” can stand on their own.
Former “The Hills” star Lauren Conrad’s couture clothing collection tanked, but she should have better luck with this casual line for the Kohl’s chain. All items are under $50. The short skirts and skinny jeans certainly look great on Lauren!
The long awaited video for Lady Gaga’s song “Telephone” is out and it’s hot! The pop star and her pal Beyonce make a “Thelma and Louise” style team, breaking out of jail and driving off together from the scene of their crime. Both show off sexy dance moves and in Gaga’s case, a lot of skin.
The new Miley Cyrus film “The Last Song” comes out March 31, and this afternoon the Disney star was joined by co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Greg Kinnear for a press conference that was streamed live on UStream. Miley plays a rebellious teen who is sent to live with her divorced dad for the summer and finds romance in a southern beach town. Fans will see a much more grown-up Miley than they’ve grown used to on “Hannah Montana!”
It’s no wonder that fans of the ABC TV show “Lost” have no idea what will happen in its final season, since the actors on the series don’t, either. Emilie de Raven, who plays “Claire,” confesses she’s as much in the dark as viewers are.
“I still don’t know how it ends. I’ve got no clue. It’s as confusing as it’s always been. We’ve still got a few weeks left to shoot, so I’m constantly sort of surprised when I’m given a new script. I mean, it’s insane the things they come up with, but really in a great way. This time Claire is a different person, it’s basically a whole other Claire, so it’s been fun sort of figuring out her journey.”
“Lost” spoiler sites are predicting that eight characters will bite the dust by the end of the show’s finale on May 23, so Claire’s journey may be coming to a sudden halt!
