Jennifer Jones, the American actress who raised to fame in classic Hollywood fare such as The Song of Bernadette, Love is a Many-Splendored Thing and Portrait of Jennie, has died at the age of 90.
Jones died Thursday at her Malibu home, with her surviving son Robert Walker Jr. by her side, according to a spokeswoman.

Hollywood siren Jones who was nominated for Academy Awards five time, winning an Oscar at age 25 for her turn as the saintly nun Bernadette Soubirous, was one of the biggest stars of the 1940s and 1950s.
Jones, who in later years was a leader of the Norton Simon Museum, died at her home in Malibu of natural causes, museum spokeswoman Leslie Denk said.
Jones was the widow of the museum’s founder, wealthy industrialist Norton Simon, and served as chair of the museum’s board of directors after his death.
Her last major film appearance was a cameo in the cult 1974 disaster film The Towering Inferno.
Despite her heavily dramatic screen roles, Jones conveyed an aura of shyness, even aloofness offstage. She rarely gave interviews, explaining to a reporter in 1957: "Most interviewers probe and pry into your personal life, and I just don’t like it. I respect everyone’s right to privacy, and I feel mine should be respected, too."
Early in her career, Jones had become nearly as famous for her high-profile marriages as for her movie work. She met actor Robert Walker when both studied acting in New York, and they married and came to Hollywood, where her stardom ascended more rapidly than his.
Jones’ boss, David O Selznick, became obsessed with his star and spent much of his time promoting her career. They married four years after she divorced Walker in 1945.
Selznick died in 1965, and in 1973 Jones married Simon.

I know most celebrities say they don’t read what the press says about them; but to be honest, I suspect in most cases, they don’t want to admit that they actually care what is written about them.
I’ll tell you straight up — I do read it! Some of it is true, a lot of it is flattering, and a lot of it is totally off the mark.
Dear Kim,
I love you. I love you so much that I want to caress, deeply, your very real butt. I hate anyone and everyone that speaks poorly of you. Apparently the Cruises bought a new home in Beverly Hills. They invited their fake friends that wanted free shrimp coctails, oh yeah, they also invited Oprah.
Page Six says, One attendee said, “Everyone he’s been having issues with was invited: Sumner Redstone, Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, you name it. Then there were all the gays, which was hilarious because Scientology ‘cures’ gays . . . There’s a tenet in Scientology that basically says, ‘After you cut people off, you have to invite them back in.’”
Oh holy weirdness. You have to invite them back in? Is there a pill that cures this insanity?

Oh, that was mean, but come on, I am just sayin’ what you all are thinking. Looks like Nick and the Hogans are trying to blame John Graziano for the entire accident. Now, that’s class, you can’t say it aint!
TMZ says, We’ve obtained his response to the civil lawsuit that John’s family filed against the Hogans, and it’s outrageous: Nick blames virtually every person on the planet — including John himself and Daniel Jacobs, the guy whom he drag-raced to cause the crash in the first place — but doesn’t take a shred of responsibility of his own.
Let’s just list the ways that Nick says John put himself in danger: Not wearing a seatbelt, not getting out of the car, getting into the car in the first place.
Also, just being friends with the Hogans, I think that could be the strongest case against John.

Of course, the accusations are all coming from his wife who is seeking to nullify the prenup. Imagine that!
Charleston Post says, According to the complaint, Jennifer Murray moved into a Sullivan’s Island home in 2006 with the couple’s four children due to her husband’s “adultery, addiction to marijuana and alcohol, abusive behavior, physical abuse, sexual addictions and frequent abandonment.”
When you say “sexual addiction,” do you actually mean that the poor guy wanted it once a week? Looks like someone is trying to get a big payday if you ask me.
