Singer Shakira was on hand for the 2009 American Music Awards (of course) and she looked great in every outfit she put on (duh). She sounded good, too. I guess you could say the book read as good as the cover looked, or something like that. Shakira did not receive an AMA, but she would of had there been a category for hotness! I like Shakira and I like her music, so how does she feel about people that download her music illegally?

Celebrity Photos from MTV Europe Awards

The 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards were held at the O2 World in Berlin, Germany last night. Of course all of our favorite singers were on hand, but Beyonce was the real winner, walking away with 3 of the of biggest awards: Best Female and Best Song for “Halo” and Best Video for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).” Katy Perry took home top honors, at least in my book, for best dressed celebrity. Below are some photos of the women I found interesting. Some looked good, some not so much. Shakira’s “She-Wolf”

Shakira performed live on stage during Saturday Night Live with more pizzazz than anyone expected. Only some loved the new songs from her album “She Wolf”, but everyone loved her charisma and dancing. Shakira rocked out She Wolf with werewolf howls and a keytar player and during “Did It Again”, the sounds of Korean drummers shook the stage.This season Saturday Night Light, Shakira happens to be the third in a row of great female artist. Before her were Lady Gaga and Regina Spektor.

Shakira has a sound of her that many believe is a blend of folk, Middle Eastern, and traditional Latin styles with an underlying flow of rock and pop. This sounds like music from a bad Sonic the Hedgehog stage. Also, as a youtube reviewer noted, Shakira’s howl sounds like it’s coming from a cute little rabbit rather than a shewolf. Imo, she should have taken the Playboy bunny / fake ears and tail route than the shewolf one, especially if that’s her howl. It’s usually funny to note how public opinion regards anything lupine or lycanthropic. Being a wolf apparently makes you X-TREME so that you either want crazy amounts of sex (not necessarily wrong in itself, hur hur hur) or want to snowboard after a stray can of Mountain Dew while Linkin Park is playing. After all, that’s how wolves live their lives, right?
