Lindsay Lohan being sued

Oh c’mon, she barely looks drunk and high

Remember when Lindsay Lohan stole that SUV last year — with guys in it — and chased her assistant and assistant’s mom through the streets of Malibu and Santa Monica at speeds reaching 100 mph? After apprehending her, Santa Monica police found Lindsay with cocaine on her and a blood alcohol level well over the legal limit. Well the guys in the SUV are finally suing. AP says:

A wild ride that led to Lindsay Lohan’s arrest has sparked another lawsuit. Court records show that three men who claim they were in a sport utility vehicle that Lohan commandeered in July 2007 sued the “Mean Girls” star last week.

“Commandeered.” Interesting choice of words. Out here beyond the gates of Fantasyland, we use words like “stole” and “carjacked.”

Their allegations include battery, false imprisonment and that the actress was negligent when she allegedly took over an SUV belonging to one of the men to chase her recently fired assistant . . . Lohan’s attorney, Ed McPherson, called the lawsuit “absurd.” He claimed the men were having fun during the chase and questioned why they waited more than a year to file suit. “It just doesn’t make sense,” McPherson said. “They had ample opportunity to get out of the car. This is so unnecessary. Hasn’t Lindsay suffered enough for her actions last year? For Christ’s sake, she served 84 minutes in jail. That’s 5040 seconds. Really puts things into perspective when you view it in those terms. A lesser person would have broke.

Khloe Kardashian is not smart

Khloe Kardashian blows off DUI classes again

Remember when Kim Kardashian’s sister Khloe got a DUI back in November? Remember when she was sentenced to jail for blowing off the court mandated alcohol education classes and her sister Kim said this:

Khloe is ready and willing to serve out her sentence, no matter how long and where, and have this resolved.

Remember that? Oh hey, guess what. From TMZ:

[Khloe] was in court today for a progress hearing on her DUI — and nearly blew it when the judge learned she hadn’t completed her required drug and alcohol classes by today’s scheduled appearance.

The judge scolded the reality star this morning for missing more than one of her classes — but Kimmy’s sis says it wasn’t her fault. KK blamed holidays that fell on scheduled class dates (they were closed) and over booked sessions (not enough seats) kept her from fulfilling her obligation — but the judge wasn’t having it.

The “Celebrity Apprentice” wannabe was still given until November 17 to complete her last class and is required to fly back from NYC this month to do a day’s work in an L.A. morgue. (Source)

Ten bucks Khloe comes back on November 17 and says she still hasn’t completed the class because the dog ate her car keys. If there’s anything I’ve learned from my years in and out of a courtroom, it’s that judges love excuses. They also love when you wear t-shirts with snappy slogans like “Judges Do It With Authority!” And Khloe, in case any of your friends try to call when you’re in court, you might want to leave your cell phone on. You can thank me for the advice later.

Heather Locklear is under arrest

Heather Locklear was arrested Saturday afternoon in the wealthy town of Montecito, California on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication. Us Weekly says:

Locklear, 47, was pulled over by California Highway Patrol after a resident reported that she was driving “erratically.” Patrol spokesman Tom Marshall told the AP that the responding officer spotted Locklear’s car parked on a state highway blocking a lane. “In talking with her, the officer determines that she seems to be under the influence of something,” Marshall said. Locklear was taken into custody, tested for drugs and alcohol, booked and released. (Source)

In Locklear’s defense, it’s crazy how much that state highway looks like a parking lot when you’re high on Vicodin and Percocet.

NOTE: Is anybody else as turned on by that mug shot as I am? Dilated pupils are so damn sexy.

Shia might not even get his license suspended

Shia LaBeouf — who already dodged drunk driving charges for the accident he was involved in back in July — might not even get his license suspended. Under California law, anyone who refuses to take a breathalyzer test automatically gets their license suspended for up to a year. LaBeouf refused the breathalyzer after being arrested. Seems pretty clear that his license should be suspended? Yes, but that’s why God’s evil cousin Brad invented lawyers. From TMZ:

Shia’s lawyer, Michael Norris, tells us he believes he can convince the DMV that when Shia was asked to submit to the test, he was in no position to respond. Norris says, “Asking someone to provide a blood or breath test while they’re being prepared for surgery on a gurney is a very unusual situation.”

Norris says Shia wasn’t asked to submit to the test until he was already at the hospital for several hours.

Norris tells us he’s asking the Sheriff’s Department to turn over all videos they have of Shia that night, including a video of the intersection that presumably captured the entire scene. Norris says he wants to see if Shia was “legally arrested.” (Source)

“Legally arrested?” What does that even mean? Correct me if I’m wrong, but motherfucker flipped his truck. I’m assuming the police could smell alcohol on his breath. How does one go about legally arresting a drunk driving suspect? You put cuffs on him and then read him his rights. Sounds pretty legal to me. It’s not like the police forced him into a confession by shoving a flashlight up his asshole until light came out of his mouth. Or did they?

Shia LaBeouf NOT charged with DUI

A new low has been reached in the world of celebrity justice. Shia LaBeouf will not be facing drunk driving charges for the rollover accident he got into in late July . . . when he was drunk. Apparently there’s insufficient evidence to charge him. From the Los Angeles Times:

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore noted that because LaBeouf refused a blood-alcohol test, the Department of Motor Vehicles would automatically suspend his license for six to nine months. LaBeouf’s hearing was scheduled for Friday. (Source)

According to L.A. mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a parade will be thrown for LaBeouf this Sunday in Beverly Hills. Arrive early for the best seats.

Here’s the first pics of Shia LaBeouf since his DUI accident early Sunday morning. He’s taking a smoke break outside the hospital. According to ETonline, Shia’s injuries are going to be written into the script of Transformers 2. Hopefully the producers teach his dumb ass a lesson and the first scene of the movie is him breaking his hand after viciously beating up a baby. When I had the lead in my elementary school’s production of West Side Story, my drama teacher did that exact thing to me. Sure I looked bad but I got the point. I never missed a rehearsal because I was high on crack again. True story.

Turns out the female passenger Shia LeBeouf was riding with when he flipped his truck early Sunday morning was Adrian Grenier’s girlfriend Isabel Lucas. Lucas knows LeBeouf through their recent work together in Transformers 2. From the New York Daily News:

Sources say Lucas was riding shotgun with LaBeouf when he made a left turn on a red light and got broadsided in his Ford F150 around 2:45 Sunday morning in Los Angeles.

The actor suffered hand injuries and was arrested for drunk driving. Lucas was admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital for “minor head injuries” and later released. A rep for the film said that Lucas is fine and back on set filming.

But the perky blonde is about to have another headache.

We hear her boyfriend Adrian Grenier, who she began dating in February, is none too happy that his ladyfriend was partying with her handsome costar at 3 a.m. Grenier was testy when we asked him how Lucas was feeling post-crash, and refused to comment. (Source)

I’m sure Adrian has nothing to worry about. So what if his girlfriend was with another guy at 3 in the morning? What’s the big deal if they were both drunk? And who cares if bystanders could only make out the top of Isabel’s head in Shia’s truc . . . ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Shia LaBeouf is under arrest

Shia LaBeouf’s overturned truck after the accident

Shia LaBeouf has officially arrived. The actor was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI early Sunday morning after he was involved in a car accident in Hollywood (video of the accident scene on PAGE 2). After the accident, LaBeouf was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to undergo emergency surgery on his left hand. He dodged a felony only because the male driver of the other car as well as the female passenger in his car suffered minor injuries. The Los Angeles Times says:

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said LaBeouf made a left turn and collided with an oncoming car about 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of La Brea and Fountain avenues. The actor’s Ford F-150 pickup truck rolled over in the crash.

LaBeouf injured his left hand and was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for surgery, according to Sgt. Kristin Aloma of the sheriff’s West Hollywood station. LaBeouf’s passenger and the other driver, both women, were treated for minor injuries and released from Cedars. (Source)

I hope all you up-and-comers out there in young Hollywood — the Hayden Panettieres, the Ali Lohans, the Miley Cyruses — are paying attention. Because that is how you get a DUI. What a showman! He’s like a modern day P.T. Barnum . . . if P.T. Barnum was into jello shots.
